Virgin Voyages’ third ship to be called Resilient Lady

Virgin Voyages have announced the third ship to join the fleet will be called Resilient Lady.

“The introduction of Resilient Lady arrives on the heels of International Women’s Day, which is symbolic of the spirit of our Lady Ships and is in celebration of women and their achievements, strength, leadership and resilience.”

Virgin Voyages spokesperson

Resilient Lady is set to join the two other ships, Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady, from summer 2022 and plans to sail two Mediterranean itineraries from its homeport in Athens.

The two seven-night itineraries from Piraeus will include:

  • A Greek Isles itinerary visiting Santorini, Rhodes, Crete and Mykonos (with an overnight stay).
  • An Adriatic itinerary visiting Dubrovnik, Kotor, Corfu and Argostoli, with a late-night departure from Dubrovnik.

“Sailing in the Med is such an extraordinary experience, and we are so excited to bring the adventure of a Virgin Voyage to this beautiful place.”

Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group.

Resilient Lady is scheduled for delivery from Fincantieri’s Sestri Ponente on 1st July 2022. You can find more details on these itineraries and how to book here.

This comes after the recent announcement that the cruise line will suspend all sailings from 9th May through to the 30th June 2021 on Scarlet Lady. This means the inaugural sailing has been moved again, and she now has her first sailing on 1st July 2021.

“We know the time to travel is on the horizon, and Virgin Voyages is here so that we can keep dreaming of irresistible vacations ahead.”

Tom McAlpin, chief executive and president of Virgin Voyages
