The UK’s First Float-In Cinema is back for a Second Year

Looking for something different for your night out in London? Openaire is the UK’s first “float-in” cinema located at Merchant Square in Paddington, London.

There’s something for everyone with films ranging from Moulin Rouge!, Top Gun, Mamma Mia to Jaws (if you’re feeling brave enough on your boat!).

This magical event on the water gives film fans a truly unique cinematic experience. Your journey begins as you get on your very own boat and steer yourself across the waters of Little Venice. You’ll have plenty of time before the film starts to drive around and explore, so everyone in your group will get a chance to be the captain. Once you’re ready to moor up, you can stretch your legs on the docks and order some food & cinema snacks.

There are also options for people who haven’t quite found their sea legs. You can join the open-air cinema fun on land and grab one of the deck chairs with a great view of our waterside big screen. With their bespoke headphones, you’ll get crystal clear sound no matter where you drop anchor, so you’ll be able to hear everything – from a drop in the ocean to a crashing wave!

Eight individuals from different households are allowed to book the experience while maintaining a 1m+ social distance while on the boat.

Openaire is only running for a limited 4-week run. Film screenings started at the beginning of the month, with the last showing on 27th June 2021.
