Did you go to the Northern Travel and Tourism show in Manchester? Lots of meetings and chats were had – it was great! And it wasn’t just travel professionals and group travel organisers.
Naomi Ann Clarke is an up and coming illustrator who came to our South West Travel show in Bristol at the end of January and we’re featuring some of her work in this post. “I decided to go to the show because I wanted to get in touch with new contacts”, she said. “My work revolves around travel and locations, so I think my services could be useful to exhibitors.”
Naomi is a Bristol based graphic artist working mainly in illustration who likes to find inspiration from places she’s visited and cultures she’s experienced. She designs book covers (and visitor guide covers) prints, cards and advertising material. She said, “I really enjoyed walking around the show, learning about different businesses that I just wouldn’t have heard of without going.”
” It was fascinating to hear about each different company and what they all offer, especially finding out about houses and holiday homes that aren’t heavily advertised – National Trust homes, for example. Everyone I met there was so lovely and it has definitely encouraged me to visit more events.” We want to encourage visitors who could benefit from our travel shows to come along and see what’s going on in the group travel universe.
It’s a space that may not be very well known to a large section of the public, so if you know someone who might benefit from finding out a little bit more, ask them along to Manchester on Tuesday 25 February 2020 or to the Go Travel show at Kempton Park Racecourse on 22 April 2020.
Tickets are free so spread the word! You can find more of Naomi’s work, and her contact details, on her website. You should take a look, it’s great.
