New VIP group cruises being launched by Ullswater ‘Steamers’ for 2021 will give group tour operators exclusive sailings on a dedicated heritage vessel, to take in some of the most epic views in the Lake District National Park.
Cruises connect to some of the most famous and iconic walking routes in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Lake District National Park, with views of Wordsworth’s daffodils on the west shore in spring.
Ullswater ‘Steamers’, which was recently named as one of the UK’s top historic attractions by Which? Travel magazine, is giving groups exclusive access to MV Lady Wakefield for the first time from December 2020.
She has been newly kitted out with dividing screens to enable socially distanced, COVID-safe trips for up to 50 passengers – depending on the composition of the groups.
71 year old Lady Wakefield will be dedicated completely to the group travel market and will set sail on the hour throughout the day.
Normally, the vessel carries up to 150 people. But the brand new VIP Group Tour means a select number of passengers will have their own boat for unique, COVID-safe experiences on a spacious vessel.
Passengers will enjoy one-hour sailings from Glenridding at the southern end of Ullswater, complete with a live commentary guiding visitors along the Lake District’s highest mountains, through the sweeping landscape of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 71-year-old Lady Wakefield will be dedicated completely to the group travel market and will set sail on the hour throughout the day.
Tour guides will travel for free, and tickets include complimentary tea or coffee on arrival. Tickets are priced at £9.95 per person, with special rates available for series tours. For more information or to book call 01768 482229 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
