Now in its 15th year, Kent’s Big Weekend, now named Kent’s Bigger Weekend is running from the 25th June to the 23rd July 2021. The event is offering free tickets to dozens of attractions across Kent, from castles and wildlife parks to vineyards and museums.
60 of Kent’s tourist attractions and businesses will be opening their doors and offering visitors the chance to win exclusive gifts and packages.
As well as giving visitors a chance to explore a wide range of smaller attractions across Kent, like Action Watersports, Huckleberry Woods Micro Animal Adventure, Ramsgate Brewery UK Electric Bike Centre. You’ll also be able to enjoy family favourites like Canterbury Cathedral, Hush Health Estate, Margate Caves, and Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, among many more.
“We were so sad not to be able to go ahead with our annual Big Weekend celebrations last year. Following an extremely difficult 15 months for Kent’s tourism and hospitality businesses, what better way to mark the re-opening of our much-loved venues than by getting outdoors and rediscovering what’s sitting right on our doorstep?
“This year’s Big Weekend is the ideal opportunity to scope out which attractions you’ll be returning to with friends and family on this year’s ever-important staycation, and we’re delighted to be opening up the ballot to our neighbours in East Sussex and Essex for the first time in 2021 too!”Deirdre Wells OBE, Visit Kent Chief Executive.
There’s just a few days left for the chance to get a free day out at one of Kent’s top attractions. Kent residents have a short time to review and choose to bid for attractions and experiences around their county. The free ticket ballot ends on the 18th of June and you’re allowed to apply for as many pairs of tickets as you’d like.
To enable more people to enjoy great days out close by, the Kent Bigger weekend is also open to residents in Essex and East Sussex. Visit the website for more details and how you can get your hands on tickets.
