Have you booked your Christmas party yet? The one for work? I bet you haven’t, in which case you need to keep reading, humming a tasteful seasonal song while you do. Stonor Park, in Henley-on-Thames is one of the oldest family homes still lived in today – the Stonor family have lived there for over 850 years! For the last four years they have opened the doors of Stonor at Christmas so anyone can enjoy the spectacular decorations. The sensationally seasonal look is put together by the Head Gardener and gifted florist Sue Bailey West. The theme this year is ‘A Candlelit Christmas’ and it’s going to be absolutely fantastic.

We’re talking about a wonderful Christmas candlelit evening party with open fires roaring, candles just lit and a magnificent 20ft Victorian decorated Christmas Tree in the Gothic Hall weighed down with sparkling decorations. There’s a Christmas Cracker’s load of special deals for groups including Candlelit tours, festive lunches, afternoon teas and dinners.
So think about it – do you really want to go to the restaurant around the corner from the office or the pub you end up in every Friday? I don’t think so. Even if you’ve never been on a group trip before you’ll be able to organise this. Just get in touch with enquiries@stonor.com for more information or to make a group booking. Easy! All you have to do after that is make sure everybody hands over their money (no, you can’t pay on the day, Darren) and book up a mini-bus. This is a proper Christmas outing and it’ll be one to remember. You’ll need to book soon because places are going fast, so hitch up the sleigh and get going!
